- Other people’s junk become my treasures and are brought back to life with a new meaning and purpose. As an assemblage artist, I use found objects from anywhere and everywhere- thrift stores, flea markets, dumpsters, and garage sales. My pieces stem from my obsession with constantly digging and searching for information about other peoples lives. Through old letters, photos, and objects, a story is created. The viewer can connect emotionally to the pieces because they are reminded of a certain place, time, or person in his/her lives. I am currently pursuing an MFA in Studio Art and the Computer at UCF and received my BA in Studio Art from Rollins College with a background in painting. Currently, I have been creating mixed media assemblages.
